European Open 2027: Prize money

A total prize fund of £750,000 has been announced for the inaugural European Open. That matches exactly the prize money of the UK Open, on which the new major is modelled in other respects too. The winner receives £120,000, the beaten finalist £60,000. The semi-finalists each get £35,000, the quarter-finalists £20,000. Reaching the last 16 is worth £12,500, the last 32 still £7,500. The round of the last 64 pays out £3,000, the round of the last 96 £2,000 and the round of the last 128 a still respectable £1,250. The tournament therefore pays prize money across almost the entire field. Source
