European Open 2027: Format

Like the UK Open, the inaugural European Open is staged on eight stages at the same time. On Friday, rounds one to three are played in a best of 11 legs format. For the fourth round the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit enter the tournament and face the 32 winners from the third round, played on a total of eight boards over best of 19 legs. In the fifth round the last 32 players compete on four boards, in the round of 16 the last 16 on two boards, each over best of 19 legs. The quarter-finals of the last eight players are also played over best of 19 legs. The semi-finals and the final are finally contested over the distance of best of 21 legs. Source
