PDC World Matchplay 2027: Players

The field for the PDC World Matchplay 2027 consists of 32 players: the top 16 from the PDC Order of Merit face the top 16 from the Pro Tour Order of Merit, with the cut-off date being 6 July 2027. The defending champion is Luke Littler, who gave Gerwyn Price no chance in the 2026 final, took six of the first seven Legs and eventually won 18-9 – with a 112 Average and six high finishes. Since the first edition in 1994 the tournament has produced 13 different winners. Record winner Phil Taylor got his name on the winners' list 16 times, Michael van Gerwen has won three times and Luke Littler twice so far. Source
