PDC World Cup of Darts 2027: Format

The 2027 PDC World Cup of Darts again consists exclusively of doubles matches. Since the comprehensive reform in 2023, the tournament has been played entirely in team mode, with singles matches abolished. A country's two best players form the team, and the match distance increases as the tournament progresses: the group stage is played over Best of 7 Legs, the 2nd round, quarter-finals and semi-finals over Best of 15 Legs, and the final over Best of 19 Legs. The four seeded nations only enter at the knockout stage, while the remaining teams first battle it out in groups of three for a place in the second round. The twelve group winners are then drawn freely against the four seeded teams. In 2027 as well, this proven tournament format continues unchanged. Source
