The 2027 World Cup of Darts takes place from 10 to 13 June 2027 at the Eissporthalle Frankfurt and is the 17th edition of the tournament. The PDC confirmed the date when it published its 2027 tournament calendar. Frankfurt is the traditional home of the team event: the World Cup of Darts was played there in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, among others, and continuously from 2022 to 2026. The tournament is the only team competition run by the Professional Darts Corporation. Each nation is represented by its two best players in the Order of Merit. In 2027, 40 nations will again take part; the four seeded teams England, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Scotland are seeded for the 2nd round, while the remaining nations first play in twelve groups of three. Since the 2023 reform, every match has been played as a doubles tie, with the players of a country alternating after each visit and therefore also within the Legs. The group stage is played over Best of 7 Legs, the 2nd round, quarter-finals and semi-finals over Best of 15 Legs, and the final over Best of 19 Legs. England are the defending champions: Luke Littler and Luke Humphries won the 2026 final 10-5 against the Netherlands with Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen, posting an Average of 104.77. With six titles, England are also the most successful nation in the competition, which was held for the first time in 2010. Back then the PDC staged its first team Major event in Newcastle. As in the previous year, the total prize money is £500,000, with the winners each receiving £50,000. The 2027 World Cup of Darts is set in a packed PDC year with several stops in Germany. Just one week after the tournament in Frankfurt, a new Major joins the calendar from 18 to 20 June: the European Open in Salzburg.
