The Dutch Darts Championship 2027 brings the European Darts Tour 2027 to a close. As European Tour Event number 15, the tournament is held from 15 to 17 October 2027 at the MECC in Maastricht – the arena that hosted the tournament's premiere in 2018 and was also used in 2026. In 2027 the European Darts Tour comprises fifteen tournaments in ten countries and 15 cities, with Maastricht the final stop of the series. It is a straight knockout with 48 participants. The early-round matches are played over best of 11 legs, the semi-finals over best of 13 legs and the final over best of 15 legs; every leg is decided on a double-out. The top 16 of the PDC World Rankings are seeded and only enter in the second round. A total of £230,000 is paid out, including £35,000 for the winner and £15,000 for the runner-up. The field is made up of the top 16 from the PDC World Rankings, the best 16 players from the Pro Tour ranking, ten qualifiers from the Tour Card Holder Qualifier, four players from the Host Nation Qualifier plus one qualifier each from the Nordic & Baltic Qualifier and the East Europe Qualifier. The prize money won in Maastricht counts towards the European Tour Ranking, whose top 32 at the end of the season decide the places at the European Darts Championship, played in Dortmund from 26 to 31 October 2027. Previous winners include Ian White (2018), Michael Smith (2022), Dave Chisnall (2023), Josh Rock (2024), Jonny Clayton (2025) and Niels Zonneveld, who won 8-5 against Danny Noppert at the MECC in 2026 and goes in as defending champion. Maastricht hosts several events in 2027: Players Championships 33 and 34 follow directly after the European Tour event on 19 and 20 October, and the Tour Card Holder Qualifier for the Grand Slam of Darts takes place there on 21 October.
