The German Darts Grand Prix 2026 – staged as the Elten Safety Shoes German Darts Grand Prix 2026 for sponsorship reasons – took place from 4 to 6 April 2026 at the Kulturhalle Zenith in Munich. It was the fourth of 15 tournaments on the PDC European Tour as part of the 2026 PDC Pro Tour. The field featured 48 players and £230,000 in prize money was on offer, of which £35,000 went to the winner. Because the cult event in the Bavarian state capital traditionally falls on the Easter weekend, play exceptionally took place on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The defending champion was Michael van Gerwen, who had beaten Gian van Veen 8-5 in the 2025 final. The four-time tournament winner went out in his very first match, however: in the second round he trailed 0-4 and lost 1-6 to Germany's Niko Springer, who had come into the tournament via the Pro Tour Order of Merit and posted a three-dart Average of over 98 points. Top seed Gian van Veen also had to bow out early – he lost 2-6 to William O'Connor, who closed out the match with a 108 finish. In all, 10 of the 16 seeded players were knocked out in the second round. Nathan Aspinall won the tournament and celebrated his fourth European Tour title. On the way to the final he saw off Ricardo Pietreczko (6-5), Martin Schindler (6-2) and Andrew Gilding (6-4), and in the semi-final he beat Kevin Doets 7-2 with an Average of 106.40, ending a run of six defeats against the Dutchman. Danny Noppert reached his fourth European Tour final: after a 6-5 win over Ritchie Edhouse he defeated Karel Sedláček, Jonny Clayton and Krzysztof Ratajski, dropping just five Legs in those three matches combined. In the final Noppert led after the first Leg but then fell 1-4 behind, before winning four Legs in a row to go 5-4 up. At 5-5 Noppert missed the Bull for a 170 finish, Aspinall checked out 84 and moved back in front. A 128 Checkout sealed the 8-5 win – with an Average of 100.35 and seven maximums. All four of Aspinall's European Tour titles have been won in Germany, matching Phil Taylor's tally.
