The European Darts Grand Prix has been a fixture on the PDC European Tour since 2014 and is traditionally played at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen. In 2027 the tournament is the sixth of a total of 15 European Tour events on the calendar and takes place from 2 to 4 April. Only in 2021 was the event cancelled; in 2022 it was staged at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart. It is played as a classic knockout with 48 participants. On Friday the 32 unseeded players contest the first round across two sessions, on Saturday the 16 seeded players enter, and on Sunday everything is decided from the third round through to the final. Up to and including the quarter-finals the format is best of 11 Legs, the semi-finals are best of 13 and the final best of 15 Legs. All matches are played on stage. The field is made up of the top 16 of the PDC Order of Merit, the best 16 players of the Pro Tour Order of Merit and 16 qualifiers: ten from the Tour Card Holder Qualifier, four from the Host Nation Qualifier plus one player each from the Nordic & Baltic Qualifier and the East Europe Qualifier. A total of £230,000 is paid out, £35,000 of it to the winner. Via the European Tour Ranking, which counts only the prize money from European Tour events, the top 32 qualify for the European Darts Championship at the end of the season. The record winners of the tournament are Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen with two titles each. Anderson won in 2024 and 2025, most recently with an 8-0 against Andrew Gilding. In 2026 Gerwyn Price came out on top, beating Ross Smith 8-6 in the final; the best German was Martin Schindler, who went out in the quarter-finals to the eventual champion.
