The PDC World Cup of Darts 2026 – known as the BetVictor World Cup of Darts for sponsorship reasons – was held from 11 to 14 June 2026 at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt am Main. It was the 16th edition of the only team competition staged by the Professional Darts Corporation since its premiere in 2010 in Houghton-le-Spring. 40 nations with two players each fought for the title, and the total prize money rose from £450,000 in 2025 to £500,000, of which the winning team shared £100,000. Play was in doubles throughout, with the two players of a nation alternating after every visit. The four top seeds – England, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Scotland – received a bye to the last 16, while the other 36 teams played in twelve groups of three nations, from which only the group winner qualified for the knockout stage. Trinidad and Tobago as well as Mongolia celebrated their World Cup debut, and Slovenia were back for the first time since 2010. Uganda were also due to debut but could not travel because of visa problems and were replaced by Gibraltar. Mickey Mansell was the first player in the tournament's history to represent two different nations: after four appearances for Northern Ireland, he played for Ireland in 2026. The group stage brought a few surprises: Hong Kong did not knock Belgium out of the tournament, but did secure an opening win, the USA got the better of former champions Australia in Group G, and Spain, Norway and Latvia also reached the last 16. Defending champions Northern Ireland with Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney came through a tight last-16 tie against Belgium and the quarter-final against Latvia, both 8-7, but lost 2-8 to the Netherlands in the semi-final. Hosts Germany with Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko reached the quarter-finals, where they lost 4-8 to the Netherlands. In the final, top seeds Luke Littler and Luke Humphries of England faced Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen. England made the better start, never gave up the lead and won 10-5 – a sixth and record-breaking World Cup title for England and the first joint triumph for Littler and Humphries. The highest checkout of the tournament was 170, hit by Phuay Wei Tan of Singapore and Luke Littler. The World Cup of Darts is still waiting for the first nine-darter in its history.
