Grand Slam of Darts 2026: Format

At the Grand Slam of Darts 2026, 48 players will compete for the first time, initially playing in 16 groups of three. The world's top 16 are seeded as group heads, the other 32 players are split into ranks 17 to 32 and ranks 33 to 48 and drawn into one of the 16 groups. The group matches are played over best of 9 legs, the last 16 over best of 19 legs, and the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final each over best of 31 legs. In the group stage two points are awarded for a win; if players are level, points decide first, then leg difference and after that the head-to-head result. If legs against the throw and the tournament average are not enough either, a 9-dart shoot-out is held. Source
